Questions? We Have Answers.

I have been appraising in the Lubbock market and surrounding communities for just over 18 years. I have worked to establish a network of peers in the Lubbock area and outside to make myself the best appraiser I can be. I share my knowledge in order to make the community a better environment for both appraisers and Realtors®.

With over 18 years of experience, I have seen a vast array of housing situations and I have the know-how to complete your appraisal report, however, should your situation require a different skill set, I will use my network to find the right individual to complete your job.

Absolutely. Look me up in the Appraisal Subcommittee’s National Registry at https://www.asc.gov/appraiser

Yes; while appraising fills up most of my week, I also hold a broker’s license in the state of Texas, which gives me another perspective on the real estate transaction.

Yes. I obtained my SRA designation through the Appraisal Institute in 2019. To summarize what an SRA designation is, it is a designation received after completing and passing a very rigorous set of education requirements, and committing to continue to pursue education that exceeds the minimum requirements of the state of Texas.

I also hold my HMS (Home Measuring Specialist) certification after completing the required courses and test. As of April 1st, 2022, all appraiser’s completing reports for FNMA are required to follow ANSI measuring standards. While I had been using this standard for a few years, I wanted to make sure I was up to date with the requirements of ANSI and give my clients piece of mind knowing they were getting an accurate sq.ft. on their home.

Yes.  At a minimum, I highly recommend having your home measured prior to listing. I have too many examples (and see new ones every day), of why a home should be measured, and LCAD should not be relied on for house measurements (you can visit my blog post on that topic here). I have a variety of products to offer at a range of price points depending on complexity, scope of work. Visit here for a quick form to fill out to get a quote or request a phone call to discuss your options.

The cost of the appraisal is going to depend on the scope of work. The scope of work is determined after our initial consultation to determine what is being appraised, what the purpose of the appraisal is, and who will need to rely on the report.
